bike rides and sunsets make my heart happy :)

This evening I decided to avoid my to-do list by spending some time with God by the water. I hadn't made time for a 'proper' quiet time this morning so I brought my Bible and prayer journal with me. As usual I really enjoyed it, but once again I was invaded by the creepy crawly bugs that seem to come out of their hiding places as the tide comes in... and I also had another curious onlooker peep over the stairs. (this guy actually talked to me though!)

Anyway, I decided to pack up and go for a nice long leisurely bike ride along the river, going down a road I had never been down before. I'm thinking about 're-locating' so I was scoping out new possibilities. I wish I had of started this journey a little earlier because I found a spot that will be really nice for watching sunsets... one of my favorite things to do :)

Here's the tail end of the sunset...

I caught these last two on my way home, in the same area as my "usual" spot. I'm loving the sunset setting on my camera!

It kind of looks like it was foggy today in these pictures, but I think that's actually smoke because there were lots of farmers burning their fields today.

Anyway, just thought I'd share a little glimpse of my day today :) Guess I should get back to that to-do list!

Beautiful! I love sunsets! One day I'll visit you in Japan and we can watch them together. (Or wherever you end up! :) )
